This is a film poster that i used as research for my product. Im my opinion the space is used really well and allows the character to be shown aswell as the other straplines. This was something i wanted to achieve in my product.

Draft

This is my final filim poster. I decieed to use the blue tint as it gave a cold feel and allowed the picture to have more depth. Adding the text at the bottom makes it look realistic.

After researching differnt film posters this poster came to light as i was prepairing for film poster. I really liked the fact this poster was simple and i loved the layout. This is something that i would like to incorporate into my poster.

This is my second draft, i like this but i thought it was too dark and was not the idea i had in mind.

This is my first draft, i liked this one becuase of the blue tint which could project cold bitter emotions. This was not my desired effect.

I wanted to use bright colours to make this film magazine look realistic. I used a profile picture to show the characters identity. I now need to change the colour scheme of this magazine front cover, instead of useing blue,black, red and yellow i am going to use a simple theme of yellow and black with the red title. I will decide on this as i play with different ideas.

I decided to make the film poster white to indicate the themes that what happened was a dream or a white gaze. The black text indicates the presence of evil. I wanted this poster to be simple so that nothing else could detract from the main themes of death and the fact of it all being a dream or a white gaze.

Paint.Net

Changing the lighting of my picture was the main thing that i wanted to do. These options allowed me to do this.Paint.Net was simple to use once i got used to it. This gave my image a natural glow which i could alter and emphsise which other options.



With this option it allowed me to add more light to the whole image. This image also allowed me to change the contrast to make the image more clear in the bright lights that surround it.

Magazine planning

For this i would like to use a clear image of the main character, like a profile picture. She will be on the floor to show her vulnerability. This could also be a small indication to the story line without giving too much away. Here is a basic plan of the magazine.

Ancillary product planning

For my film poster i would like it to represent the main character in my film as innocent and pure, using colour can aid this. White represents purity so this colour is something i may use. This could also indicate that what is going to happen is almost like a dream to the woman. Like she is refelecting on what has happened. As a contrast to this i would like to use black text to show an evil presence. This will also make the text stand out from the white background. Here is a basic plan of my film poster.
